About Me

John took this photo of me at a bookstore in Healdsburg, CA.
Hi! I’m Suzanne Teer, a native of Balitmore, Maryland who has called Southern California home for the past 18 years.
I am happily married to a wonderful man and we have created a comfortable, cozy home for the two of us, his two sons, and our dog and cat. I have worked in the field of educational fundraising my entire career and am proud to work at a highly-regarded public research university. In 2005 I got my master’s degree in clinical psychology. I was on the path to becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist but I got off that track and returned to fundraising.
I have a deep interest in people, their stories and what makes them tick. I am passionate about life, love, my husband, relationships, family, nature, animals (especially my cat, Abigail Ranch Teer), learning, good food, good wine, the company of women, horseback riding, country music, great books and movies, chocolate, travel, scuba diving… and the simple things in life.
Life is short. We must make the most of it. No one else is going to make it happen for us–what ever we want, we have to make it happen for ourselves. And if we get clear about what we want, it’s not as difficult as we might think.
I will share my journey with you in the hope that I might inspire you to step out and live life more fully in your own way. Others have inspired me. If I can provide a little inspiration for you, that would make me very happy.
I would love to hear from you!
Suzanne
